చేటీ భవన్ నిఖిల ఖేటీ కదంబవన-వాటీషు నాకిపటలీ
కోటీర చారుతర-కోటీ మణీకిరణ-కోటీ కరంబిత పదా ।
పాటీర గన్ధి కుచశాటీ కవిత్వ పరిపాటీమ్-అగాధిప సుతా
ఘోటీ ఖురాదధిక ధాటీమ్ ఉదార ముఖ వీటీ రసేన తనుతామ్ ॥ ౧
చేటీ భవన్ నిఖిల ఖేటీ = being served by all the worlds
(and their inhabitants; also sky-dwellers i.e., devas)
కరంబిత పదా = having feet adorned by
మణీకిరణ-కోటీ = millions of dazzling gems

పాపాపహ స్వమను-జాపానులీన-జన తాపాపనోద నిపుణా ।
నీపాలయా సురభి ధూపాలకా దురితకూపాద్-ఉదంచయతు మామ్
రూపాధికా శిఖరి భూపాల వంశ మణిదీపాయితా భగవతీ ॥ ౨

తాప అపనోద నిపుణా = O mother who are highly skilled in removing the
sorrow of
మను-జాప-అనులీన జన = people who are engrossed in your meditation
and worship
నీపాలయా = O dweller of the kadamba forest!
సురభి ధూప అలకా = having fragrant frontal hair curls
దురిత-కూపాత్ ఉదంచయతు మామ్ = pull me out of the abyss/well of
past bad karma
రూపాధికా = O lovely one!
శిఖరి-భూపాల వమ్శమణి-దీపాయితా = who brought light (by being
born) into the clan of the Mountain-King (Himalaya)
ఆళీభిర్-ఆప్త తనురాళీ లసత్ క్రియ కపోళీషు ఖేలతి భవ

దక్షా వీక్షామ్ విధేహి మయి = May the intelligent one shower her

స్వకీయ-జన-పక్షా = she who is on the side of those who consider
themselves to belong to her
విపక్ష విముఖీ = and indifferent to those who pit themselves against
her
నిరాక్షేప శక్తి = unchallenged power
యక్షేశ సేవిత = served by kubera, the king of yakShas, and lord of
wealth
జయ లక్ష్య అవధాన కలనా = who brings about attainment and
retention of one's cherished objectives

ఇంధాన కీర మణిబంధా భవే హృదయ-బంధావతీవ రసికా
సంధావతీ భువన సంధారణేఽప్యమృత సింధావుదార నిలయా ।
గంధానుభావ ముహురంధాలి పీత కచ బంధా సమర్పయతు మే
శమ్ ధామ భానుమపి రుంధానమాశు పద సంధానమప్యనుగతా ॥ ౧౩
- ఏతావత్ గీయతే కథ్యతే -
Though this is said to contain 10 verses, it has three more in some
recensions, and they too are included in the end (11-13).
The metre used for these verses is
called అశ్వ ధాటి the cadence of hooves of horses, meaning that Mother
Nature's gait is not slow placed, nor hurrying, but rythmic and rational. So
the chanters are requested to know each word, hence they are painfully
cleaved, blend it with the other and then rythmically chant. Then only you can
