Forever I bow to Thee, O loving Motherland!
Thou, the land of Hindus, hast brought me up in happiness.
O great and blessed Holy Land! in thy cause
May my body be sacrificed. Obeisance to thee, again and again! 1.

prabho shaktiman hindurAShTrAMgabhUtA | ime sAdaran tvAM namAmo vayam |
tvadIyAya kAryAya baddhA kaTIyam | shubhAmAshishan dehi tatpUrtaye ||

ajayyAn cha vishvasya dehIsha shaktim | sushIlaM jagad yena namraM bhavet |
shrutaMchaiva yatkaNTakAkIrNamArgam | svayaM svIkRRitan naH sugaMkArayet || 2||


O Almighty! we, children of this Hindu Nation, bow to Thee in reverence |
For Thy work, we have girded up our loins; confer on us Thy blessings
for its fulfilment.
Grant us invincible strength, and purity of character as would command
the respect of the whole world;
